Scottish daily newspaper The National has ignited fresh calls for a Scottish Republic, in its controversial front page spread.
The newspaper prides itself in supporting an "independent Scotland", with their most recent front covering splashing an image of members of the Royal Family in a toilet bowl.
The front cover featured the statement: "In honour of the Platinum Jubilee, we'd like to thank Her Majesty for the bank holiday off. But it's 2022. Why is the monarchy still a thing? Today, we declare that it's long past time to give the whole institution a... Royal Flush".

The pro-independence Scottish newspaper believes in standing up and shouting about progressive values, stating how the Platinum Jubilee has inspired fresh calls for "whether Scotland should be a republic".
The article expands upon issues that have shaken the Royal Family in recent years, claiming "racism allegations", "get-out clauses on legislation protecting the planet", "splashing the cash on Prince Andrew's out-of-court settlement", have been concealed by "the sea of Union flags on London's streets for this Platinum Jubilee".

Calling for legislation to abolish the monarchy, the newspaper exclaims that the institution is "out-of-touch" and "highlights exactly the kind of privilege that has fed so many of the horrific problems faced by Scotland and the rest of the UK".
The UK is currently experiencing a cost of living crisis with inflation rates peaking at a 40 year high in recent weeks.
The National expands upon the cost of living crisis exclaiming that many are "left choosing between heating and eating" with members of the Royal Family focusing on cuts such as "owning two or three fewer horses".
The outlet continues its claims for an independent Scotland claiming that by ditching the Monarchy Scotland can "assert itself on the world stage".
The move would see current First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon be made President of Scotland.
A recent poll by think-tank British Future, found that fewer than half of people in Scotland support retaining the monarchy, with 36 percent saying the end of the Queen's reign would be the right moment to transition to a republic.
The poll revealed weaker support among ethnic minorities and younger people across Britain, with only 40 percent of 18 to 24 year-olds supporting the decision to keep the monarchy.
The revelations come at a crucial time for the Royal Family, as celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee reach there third day.
Members of the Royal Family are expected to attend the Epsom Derby this afternoon and the Platinum Party at the Palace this evening.
The Queen has refrained form participation in events following the Trooping the Colour parade on Thursday as reports stated her Majesty was experiencing "discomfort".
