A teenage girl has tumbled from the rear of an ambulance onto a busy motorway.
The shocking incident prompted emergency services to shut down a major route during rush hour on Tuesday evening.
It occurred at approximately 5:17pm on the slip road connecting the M6 southbound to the M55 at Junction 32.
Lancashire Constabulary confirmed they received reports of the fall, which triggered an immediate response from emergency crews.
The closure caused significant disruption for motorists, with officers initially warning drivers to seek alternative routes as they assessed the situation on the carriageway.
