Major supermarkets, including Asda and Sainsbury's are selling fuel six pence a litre cheaper from today.
Morrison's is selling their fuel 5 pence cheaper, whilst Tesco are matching Asda and Sainsbury's at six pence.
This follows the Chancellor's announcement during the Spring Statement that there would be a fuel duty cut.
Duty on fuel is being cut by five pence until this time next year, but some supermarkets are also including an extra penny reduction in VAT in their price cut.
The average cost of filling up will fall by more than £3 thanks to the changes.
The fuel duty cut came into effect from 6pm yesterday evening.

However some motorists have complained that some petrol stations raised their prices in anticipation of the duty cuts.
One social media user (@WayneTreasury) wrote: "Has anyone else been counting the number of petrol stations who raised their prices by 5p per litre yesterday morning, just before #RishiSunak spoke? I'm aware of three within a 10-mile radius of my home. #PetrolPrice#SpringStatement."
Whilst another user (@bobirving_green) wrote: "All the petrol stations around me have put prices up by at least 5p in the last week - your point is?"
Another (@antenatalscan) sarcastically complained:"Petrol Prices are the same as last week Cheers for the 5p @RishiSunak#JohnsonOut59#FuelPriceHike#CostOfLivingCrisis"
Sainsbury’s CEO, Simon Roberts, said last night: "We understand that the cost of living is a real challenge for many households and we are committed to helping our customers as much as we can.
"We welcome the Chancellor's announcement today which will save motorists money and we are passing the cut to fuel duty to our customers at the pumps across every single one of our 315 forecourts from tonight.
