The teenager was stabbed to death in a racist attack in London three decades ago

David Norris, who was convicted for the murder of teenager Stephen Lawrence more than three decades ago, has been denied parole, according to reports.

He sought release from HMP Exeter during a parole hearing in October, having been handed a life sentence in 2012.

Lawrence was just 18 when he was stabbed to death in a racist attack in Woolwich, London back in 1993.

Reports suggest the Parole Board, 49, ruled Norris should not be freed and he will remain in jail.

During his Old Bailey trial, Norris denied all involvement in the attack or being at the scene on Well Hall Road.

He was sentenced for life with a minimum term of 14 years and three months for murder.

Gary Dobson was also convicted, although the Metropolitan Police believe up to six people could have been responsible for Oxford

However, Norris recently admitted punching Lawrence and therefore being present at the scene of the attack.

Lawrence’s parents, Neville and Baroness Doreen Lawrence, demanded Norris name the others present to prove his remorse.

But despite admitting at his hearing he will "go to my grave with that guilt in my heart", Norris refused to name the individuals.
