Marcia Grant was run over outside her home in Sheffield
A 13-year-old boy has admitted to killing a grandmother by running her over with her own car.
Marcia Grant, 60, died outside her home in Sheffield.
As he was being arrested, the teenager allegedly told police: “looks like I got my first kill”.
The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving at Sheffield Crown Court.
Grant died after she was trapped under her Honda Accord which then reversed over her.
CCTV footage showed the defendant trying to take the grandmother’s car, so she stood behind it to stop him.
“The vehicle reverses, causing her to fall on her back and her head impacts with the ground,” the prosecution said.
“She was trapped under the vehicle, her husband tried to break the window of the car to get the defendant out of the car.”
