A teenager has been stabbed to death at a railway station in East Sussex.
The 16-year-old, who has not been named, was found with serious injuries at Seaford Station.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5pm last night, September 10, to treat the boy.
However, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at this time. Enquiries are ongoing.
Eyewitnesses told The Telegraph people attempted to "save a young man who had been seriously injured" and there were groups of very "distressed, upset and concerned" people at the scene.
A spokesman from the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the station around 5pm this evening (Wednesday) following reports of a stabbing.
"Officers attended alongside colleagues from Sussex Police and paramedics, and a young man was found with a serious injury, consistent with being stabbed"
The teenager's next of kin have been informed.
