Royal Mail has launched an investigation after one of its postmen was caught on camera appearing to urinate in a homeowner's doorway.
The worker was captured on doorbell camera footage apparently relieving himself inside a residential building in Loughton, Essex.
The incident occurred shortly before 6pm on March 13 at a two-storey block of flats.
Video footage shows a man wearing Royal Mail uniform walking up some stairs before standing at a doorway for several seconds.
The recording of the incident was subsequently shared with the BBC.
A resident discovered the incident after spotting an unfamiliar figure on his doorbell camera.
By the time he went to investigate, the individual had already fled the scene.
He found a puddle outside a door to his storage room - which he suspected was urine.

The neighbour described himself as "disgusted" by what he witnessed.
Following his complaint to Royal Mail, the postal service confirmed it had opened an investigation.
A spokesman said: "We are looking into it as a priority.
"While we are still establishing the full circumstances, this is not the standard of behaviour we expect from our people."

The postal service confirmed it had opened an investigation into the incident
| PAThis marks the second such incident involving Royal Mail staff in recent months.
In December, a woman in Belvedere, southeast London, caught a uniformed postal worker apparently relieving himself against her own home.
The 55-year-old mother had been enjoying a cigarette outside before she spotted a stream of liquid quickly spreading across the ground.
After peering around the corner to investigate, the homeowner caught the postal worker in the act.
She said: “I turned around and all I could see was him peeing on my house and his privates.”
The 55-year-old said he quickly zipped up his trousers in shock after being rumbled.
According to the mother, the postman claimed he had been outside the property to carry out a delivery.
However, he did not deliver any post to the address and quickly scurried off at around 9.30am.
