The Queen has reappeared on the Palace balcony for the flypast of RAF aircrafts over the capital.

Accompanied by her children, grandchildren and grandchildren, her Majesty is wearing a pair of dark sunglasses for the occasion.

The Prince of Wales stood to the right of the Queen, and the pair could be seen chatting and smiling ahead of the flypast.

The Royals were seen applauding the flypast, with particular excitement displayed towards the spectacular patriotic display by the Red Arrows.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be marked by a spectacular flypast over Buckingham Palace today, that will see Spitfires and Red Arrows soar through the skies over the capital.

The Royal Family will appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace where they will acknowledge the Royal Air Forces flypast.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that spaces on the balcony for the flypast are exclusively reserved for working members of the Royal Family.

In a statement earlier this month, Buckingham Palace stated: “After careful consideration, the Queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen.”

Around 70 military aircraft will take to the skies, soaring over several UK counties before reaching Buckingham Palace.

The flypast will take place today at 1pm at Buckingham Palace, to celebrate the monarch's 70th year on the throne.
