A pilot and a passenger have made a miracle escape after their plane crash-landed on a busy road in Gloucestershire.
A glider was forced to suddenly land on the A419 Stroud Road near Aston Down airfield in Frampton Mansell at about 4.45pm on Tuesday when one of its wings came off.
Two members of the Cotswold Gliding Club were involved in the incident, the club confirmed in a statement, and pictures show the pair sitting in the cockpit after the crash landing.
In one image, one of the men can be seen sitting on the wing of the Grob 109B two-seater motor glider.
Bystanders checked in on the pair, as debris and foliage surrounded them on the road.
Both men were taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries, Chris Cooper, a spokesman for the club confirmed.
He said that the Air Accidents Investigations Branch, which investigates serious aircraft incidents, was looking into the crash.
The British Gliding Association and the local police are also part of the investigation.
