Nigel Farage has said “there is no real incentive to work” ahead of a potential rise in benefits.
State pensioners are set to receive an extra 10 percent in payments next year.
While the Government could also increase other benefits in line with inflation over the coming year.

And with inflation on the rise, Nigel has questioned the incentive to work if you can claim such benefits.
Speaking on GB News’ Farage, Nigel said: “The official inflation figure was out this morning, it’s the highest in 40 years, no great surprise there, it’s running at 9.1 percent.
“But we also hear today that one of the Government’s big plans over the next year is to increase benefits and pensions in line with inflation, perhaps even double digit rises.
“Now, when you think about it, those in work are being offered two percent, three percent, maybe four percent.
“So if you’re in work, you are relatively falling behind.
“And one thing I’m stuck by is if you’re a young couple with a couple of kids, perhaps an elderly parent living with you.
“If you can get in excess of £25,000 in benefits and that’s tax-free money, what on earth is the point in going out to work?”
He continued: “There are 5.3 million adults of working age in this country not working, a very large number of disability benefits.
“Quite a large number who appear post-pandemic who just appear not to go back to work, but perhaps there is no real incentive if you’re on benefits to do so.”
