The homeowner asked for tips on how to 'get revenge' on their neighbour

A homeowner has sought advice on how to deal with their "monster" neighbour, who they claim told their dog to "shut up".

The anonymous resident said they had "begrudgingly tolerated" the behaviour of the man living next door for three years.

But they decided it was finally time to take action after how the neighbour interacted with their pet dog.

The disgruntled homeowner described their neighbour as a "true monster".

"He, somehow, drives two Camaros, and a massive truck, they wrote in a post to Reddit.

"From these vehicles, every single day, he parks in front of my house, or in their backyard and directly next to my back deck… opens all of his windows and doors, and BLASTS his music as loud as it will possibly go and just sits there.

"The windows in my house shake, my poor dogs are TERRIFIED, and my rage knows no bounds.

"It has been three years since I bought this house and until the past month, I have begrudgingly tolerated it.

"Then he told my dog to 'shut up,' when he barked at him … Because of this canine slight, my tolerance has been extinguished. I must now seek retribution at any cost.

"I now have to yell at him every time to 'please turn it down, or just drive away.'

"His response has been to shoo me away and just say 'I’m leaving soon'."

The resident went on to ask for advice on how they could "get revenge" on their neighbour.

The post added: "Beyond the obvious (politely requesting he stop, recording evidence, submitting noise complaints to the police, etc…) please, grant me your most wicked wisdom on how to get revenge."

One person commented: "Legally, there may be laws of how loud you can have your music outside, get a decibel meter and check your local law about it.

"If you can prove he keeps his music too loud, the law can do something."

Another Reddit user suggested they should set sprinklers up outside and spray water towards where he parks his cars.

"If multiple neighbours are affected, a joint complaint has much more weight, a third person wrote.

"Get signatures or short written statements describing how it impacts them."

Another suggested: "Stink bombs? Compost pile next to the fence? A wall of wind chimes?"
