A man who stabbed his neighbour to death in a dispute over a door being left open has been jailed.
Daniel Whybrow, 46, murdered neighbour Raish Ahmed, 50, outside his home in Newham, east London on October 5 last year.
Whybrow and his victim got into a heated argument after the main door of the building they lived in had been left open, Snaresbrook Crown Court was told.
Mr Ahmed told his wife following the bitter row that the 46-year-old had attempted to assault him.

On his way home from meeting with a friend, Mr Ahmed was ambushed by the murderer.
Another fight then broke out between the pair, with Whybrow grabbing a knife from an open window in his kitchen.
CCTV footage of the incident was shown to jurors, where the defendant could be heard screaming "I will kill you" before charging at the victim's friend.
Whybrow proceeded to stab his 50-year-old victim multiple teams, continuing the brutal attack as Mr Ahmed was on the floor.

The teenager's injuries were not deemed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the brutal stabbing and took Mr Ahmed to hospital by air, where he died two days later.
Metropolitan Police officers arrested Whybrow at his flat shortly afterwards.

Metropolitan Police officers arrested Whybrow at his flat shortly afterwards
| PAThe killer was initially charged with attempted murder while Mr Ahmed was in hospital, but was later charged with murder after the 50-year-old died on October 7.
Whybrow was found guilty of murder at Snaresbrook Crown Court and was sentenced to 24 years behind bars.
The judge also handed down an additional six years in jail for grievous body harm.
Whybrow was ordered to serve the sentences concurrently by the judge.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: "A man who killed his neighbour in a violent attack in Canning Town has been sentenced to life with a minimum 24 years in prison for murder and grievous bodily harm following a Met Police investigation.
"Daniel Whybrow, 46, of Hartington Road, Newham, was handed the sentence on Wednesday, September 3 following a trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
"Raish Ahmed, who was aged 50, was stabbed repeatedly by Whybrow outside his home. He died two days later in hospital."
Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend added: "I hope the sentencing brings a small measure of peace and justice to them."
