A Devon man who scooped £3.6million on the National Lottery violently assaulted his partner during a luxury holiday in Tenerife that was meant to mark his windfall.
Sean Henderson, a carpenter from Ilfracombe, attacked Suzanne Childs at a five-star resort on the Canary Islands last week.
The couple had jetted off on their first overseas trip together to celebrate Henderson's life-changing Set For Life jackpot, which he won on December 23, according to the Daily Mail.
Ms Childs, a designer with three daughters from a previous relationship, sustained injuries to her head, face, arm and knee during the violent incident at the GF Gran Costa Adeje hotel.

Henderson received a suspended prison sentence on Monday after admitting to the assault in a Spanish court.
According to court documents, the assault occurred on January 22 at approximately 9.30pm in Room 286 of the hotel.
Henderson seized Ms Childs by the arm before hurling her against a wall and forcing her to the floor.
The impact left her with painful bruising on the inside of her right arm and over her left kneecap, along with injuries to her head and upper lip. She also sustained a cut to her thumb.

Hotel employees contacted emergency services and Henderson was subsequently taken into custody by police.
He remained detained for 48 hours before his court appearance.
Henderson appeared before the Violence Against Women Section of the Court of First Instance of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where he confessed to gender-based assault – the Spanish equivalent of domestic violence.

| GETTYProsecutors had sought an immediate nine-month prison term, but the court handed down a six-month sentence suspended for two years.
Such convictions are standard practice in Spain, where prison terms of two years or less are typically deferred for first-time offenders.
Henderson was also ordered to pay compensation to his victim.
The court imposed a restraining order barring him from returning to the hotel and requiring him to stay at least 500 metres away from Ms Childs. He was also prohibited from travelling on the same flight as her back to Britain.
Ms Childs flew home alone on January 27 and has since reported the incident to Devon and Cornwall Police.
She described the terrifying ordeal, saying: "I honestly thought he was going to kill me."
Ms Childs recalled seeing Henderson's fury and knowing immediately she needed to flee. "He caught me, grabbed my arm and threw me head-first into the wall," she said.
"I was absolutely petrified. The force of my head hitting the wall made me fear I'd fractured my skull or suffered brain damage."
She described the aftermath: "There was blood and broken glass everywhere, I practically crawled out of the room."
Ms Childs said the lottery win transformed Henderson's personality. "It was like a switch flipped and the real Sean came out," she explained.
"His behaviour changed, his attitude towards me changed. It felt like the money fed his ego and he didn't need me anymore," she said.
The day of his conviction was also Henderson's 40th birthday and hours after avoiding prison he posted a photograph on Facebook showing himself clutching a bottle of sparkling wine by the pool.
The post was captioned "Happy 40th to me!!" and set to a cover of The Rolling Stones track "I'm Free".
Henderson's Set For Life jackpot will see him receive £10,000 a month for the next 30 years. He had previously spoken about his win, explaining he only purchased the ticket after being unable to find parking at Lidl and visiting a Co-op instead.
Ms Childs said she ended the relationship without hesitation. "There's not enough money in the world to stay with someone who's abusive," she stated.
"I just want people to know what a nasty person he is. Hopefully it will stop this happening to another woman who might be drawn in by his wealth."
