Nana Akua became embroiled in a heated dispute with founder of Turn Left Media, Curtis Daly in a discussion about migration statistics, forcefully demanding he allow her to speak without interruption.
The confrontation erupted when Daly cited European Union data suggesting illegal immigration accounts for under one per cent of border crossings in Europe.
Daly started off by saying: "I was looking at the numbers, right? And I saw that less than 1 per cent of migrants crossing the border in Europe are illegal.
"So if you’re telling me that illegal immigration is ruining Europe, I think that statistic doesn’t really support the argument.

Nana fired back: "Where are you getting that from?"
He explained: "This is from the EU’s regular migration data."

Nana asked: "And how old is that?"
The commentator said: "It’s from 2024. Obviously, we can look at earlier numbers too."
He added: "I do think we should talk about this, I’m not saying we shouldn’t. But the proportion of coverage from the corporate media on how illegal migration is supposedly this massive crisis doesn’t align with the fact it’s less than 1 per cent.
"I’ve got a story for you. Very quickly. Luis Leon, an 82-year-old Chilean asylum seeker, was reportedly denied assistance by ICE in June 2025 while trying to replace a lost green card.
"His family was initially told he had died. Then they were told he was in a Guatemalan hospital. But both ICE and Guatemalan authorities denied any record of his arrest or deportation.
"This is not an illegal migrant this is someone who was here legally, went to an immigration office to replace his documents, and he was black-bagged.
"There are people on the streets of America being black-bagged and disappeared. So, again, at what cost? Our freedoms?"
Nana responded to the guest: "Okay. You say 1 per cent. What’s the population of Lampedusa? Do you even know where it is?
He tried to interrupt: "What’s the point?
Nana said: "Let me finish. If you let me finish, I’ll explain. The population of Lampedusa is about six thousand. Recently, seven thousand illegal migrants arrived on that island. What percentage is that?
He again said: "Okay, but you are weaponising.."
Nana fumed: "No, no let me finish. I’m not weaponising this, Curtis.

"I let you speak uninterrupted. I listened to everything you had to say. So please do me the same courtesy.
"You said that illegal migration is less than 1 per cent and I asked you where you got that statistic from. You provided your source, and that’s fair enough.
"But I’m saying, as a whole, that might be a valid statistic unless you live in a place like Lampedusa, where the population is 6,000 and 7,000 migrants arrived in one day. That’s not 1 per cent not for them.
"So what I’m saying is, you’re weaponising data to make a point."
