The political commentator found himself under attack from Andy Twelves

Following a fierce television confrontation where he faced accusations of racism and stupidity, Will Kingston spoke directly to GB News audiences to defend his stance on Afghan refugee resettlement.

The political commentator found himself under attack from Andy Twelves, who branded Kingston's views on Afghan nationals entering Britain as "stupid and racist" and "braindead".

The heated exchange occurred during a panel discussion about Britain's Afghan resettlement programme, which has relocated approximately 4,500 individuals following a major government data breach.

Kingston turned away from his critics to address viewers through the camera, maintaining his position whilst alleging that left-wing voices were attempting to mislead the public about Britain's cultural challenges.

A tense row erupted on GB News

The confrontation intensified when Tre Lowe challenged Kingston's position on Britain's obligations to Afghan interpreters and advisers who had assisted British forces.

"Do you know how many British soldiers would have died had we not had those interpreters and advisers?" Lowe demanded, describing Kingston's stance as "absolutely disgraceful".

Kingston attempted to clarify his position, stating "I'm not saying that" and proposing instead that Afghan nationals be relocated to nations with greater cultural alignment.

Lowe pressed further, questioning whether Kingston simply wanted to prevent "brown or Muslim faces" from entering Britain.

Will Kingston turned to address the audience directly after growing frustrated with the opposing side of the debate

The debate grew more heated as Kingston expressed mounting frustration, insisting his critics were misrepresenting his argument. "You're not listening to me," he protested, maintaining he acknowledged Britain's obligations whilst advocating for alternative resettlement destinations.

Kingston presented controversial statistics during the debate, claiming Afghan nationals were "20 times more likely than UK people to rape women". He insisted these figures represented "the reality" despite potential discomfort with such data.

His proposed solution involved relocating Afghan refugees to nations he deemed more culturally aligned with their backgrounds, rather than bringing them to Britain. This suggestion came amid revelations that thousands of Afghans had been secretly resettled in the UK following a catastrophic data breach affecting 19,000 applicants.

The resettlement programme, which emerged after a Ministry of Defence official accidentally exposed personal information in 2022, has already cost approximately £400 million. Total expenses are projected to reach £850 million once the scheme concludes, with around 6,900 individuals expected to be relocated overall.

Tre Lowe branded Kingston's argument 'disgraceful'

Kingston concluded his defence by turning directly to the camera and warning viewers about what he perceived as deliberate deception from his opponents.

"Everyone knows here there are cultural tensions which are bubbling over in this country. You feel it, you know it, and you hear people on the left who start to play silly word games and start to gaslight you," he stated.

Following Twelves' "braindead" accusation, Kingston announced he would cease engaging with the political commentator entirely. Instead, he urged the audience to dismiss such critics, saying "Don't listen to them. Don't pay attention."

The confrontation highlighted deepening divisions over Afghan resettlement policy, particularly after recent revelations about the secret relocation programme implemented following the 2022 data breach that compromised thousands of applicants' personal information.
