GB News host Martin Daubney has shut down an ex-Labour spokesman in a scathing clash over Britain's migrant crisis.
Speaking to GB News, James Matthewson enraged Martin after claiming the media is "drumming up rhetoric" about the Channel crossings.
The Labour Government are facing escalating pressure after more than 850 migrants arrived Britain in the last 24 hours.
Two child migrants have also died trying to cross the Channel overnight, just hours after a female migrant drowned in UK waters.

Discussing the crisis on GB News, Mr Matthewson explained: "It's a difficult one, isn't it, at the moment, certainly not the story or the headlines that they want to hear when they're supposedly tackling it.
"I just think it's a sad day for what those in the Labour Party hope that the Labour Party would come to represent. Of course, the deputy leadership contest, it's not much of a contest, but it is a bit of a one, at least will reveal what the party membership thinks of this direction."
As Martin highlighted that the migrant crisis is the "number one issue" amongst the electorate, Mr Matthewson claimed that it is because the media "never stop talking about it".
He argued: "There's a reason that it pulls as number one, that's because we never stop talking about it. Every single news channel is talking about this 24/7.

They want to know what the main issue is of the day, and they think it's that. And of course, there's many other issues for the Government to deal with."
Hitting back at Mr Matthewson, Martin fumed: "So you're saying it's the media's fault, not the fact that 850 people turned up yesterday, not the fact that 1100 turned up on Saturday, not the fact that children are dying in the Channel, not the fact that they are spending millions, if not billions of pounds on this? It's all the media's fault?"
The ex-Labour spokesman responded: "When we see concerning pictures like that, of course people are worried and concerned, of course they are, but not many of them by the way, from a humanitarian point of view.
"If you hear the language of people outside migrant hotels who are calling for them to be shot or calling for the boats to be shot at, that's not a humanitarian argument."

Martin furiously interjected: "How many people are saying that? That's like saying everybody on the pro-Palestine march supports Hamas. Don't be silly!"
Defending the illegal migrants, Matthewson the told GB News: "Everybody has access to legal support and should be able to bring forward a legal claim. Why shouldn't they? I don't believe that every single person on this planet is equal.
"How could I possibly believe that when somebody like Tommy Robinson exists, somebody like Paul Golding from Britain First exists? How could I possibly believe in equality of all people when idiots like that are walking around on this earth? But what I do believe in is equality before the law, and everybody has the right to be able to put forward a claim and be able to challenge the outcome of that legally. If we take that right away from people, then what are we as a society?"
Martin shut down Mr Matthewson's remarks, concluding: "I find it astonishing, James. I value your opinion, I think you're a smart fellow and I like you, but I just find it astonishing that you come on and you blame the media for this. You say that people want to shoot at boats, you bring in Tommy Robinson, it's a total deflection from the grim situation on our beaches.
"It's the number one issue to the electorate, and if you just keep on ignoring it, sticking your head in the sand and blaming the bogey man, I'm afraid the Labour Party are toast."
