Detectives hunting a sex attacker, who assaulted a woman in north London, have issued images of a suspect

The incident happened last November, but police are only now issuing images of a man they want to question, who was caught on CCTV cameras in the area of the assault.

Police said the 44-year-old female victim was returning home from a night out in the Camden area on Saturday 13 November, when she was assaulted.

The woman was waiting for a bus on Camden Road, when she was approached by the suspect.

Police said the man sexual remarks towards her, then sexually assaulted her.

The victim fled on foot, but was followed by the man, who the woman said continued to make lewd remarks, until he finally gave up and walked away.

Scotland Yard said the victim is being supported by specialist officers.

The investigating officer, Detective Constable Max Orange, said: “I am asking the people of Camden to help make their streets safer for women.

"I am confident that someone knows this man and I urge those people to come forward and tell us who he is.”

The detective added: “You can speak directly to us, or you can remain anonymous by calling or messaging Crimestoppers.

“How you do it isn’t important, identifying this man really is.”

The Metropolitan Police said anyone with any information could call them direct on 101 or tweet them.
