A man in his 40s was interviewed by officers after GB News reported allegations of abuse in Greater Manchester

A man has been arrested after an investigation into non-recent allegations of child sexual exploitation in Tameside.

The man, in his 40s, was taken into custody by police officers in Greater Manchester on suspicion of historical sexual activity with a child.


The arrest comes after GB News reported allegations that a woman had been groomed and abused by men in Tameside and Oldham in the early 2000s.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 6.30am this morning (Wednesday 3 December 2025), we arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of historical sexual activity with a child at Hyde in Tameside.
