'Genocidal fanclub for the Ayatollahs!' Seething GB News guest rips into pro-Palestine 'hooligans'

The Metropolitan Police confirmed 13 arrests were made during a Palestine Coalition demonstration, with another being arrested in connection with a Stop the Hate counter-protest.

Groups gathered outside the US and Iranian embassies in the heart of Westminster in response to the ongoing war in Gaza and tensions in Iran.

However, joining GB News today, commentator Khadija Khan branded the chaos in the capital on Saturday as "another dark day for Britain".

She told Dawn Neesom: "I believe that this day will be etched in history as another dark day for Britain. Once again, we have witnessed appalling scenes on the streets of London, where the protesters unabashedly called for genocide."

Ms Khan fumed: "To be clear, this Western pro-Palestine movement does not care about innocent people. They do not care about the Palestinian, they do not care about the Iranian, and they do not care about the Jewish people.

"This time, those participating have brazenly come out as a genocidal fanclub for the Ayatollahs, taking to the streets of London to express their indifference for the innocent Iranian people who are being ruthlessly slaughtered by the brutal regime.

She added: "Now, this is not to say that every single person who participated in this march or the marches before this march is an antisemite or a genocide sympathiser.

"However, we have witnessed how this these pro-Palestine hooligans have infiltrated these marches, seized control, took over the narrative and shouted genocidal slogans without facing any opposition.

"Now, we have been warning for years that these marches have become sanctuary for hatred, bigotry and prejudice."

She condemned how her cause was "gaslit for calling a spade a spade by those who claim to be the champions of human rights".

She added: "These are the same sanctimonious people who seem all willing to downplay the state-sponsored slaughter of innocent Iranian people, because condemning it does not fit their narrative.

"I think we have seen enough this continuous pattern of hateful behavior from these pro-Palestine hooligans, and it is time for us to stop being complacent."

Ms Khan added it was a sad indictment on the state of Britain, a country which claimed to have "zero tolerance of this kind of bigotry and prejudice".

"But then we have seen these people taking to the streets and overtly spewing their hatred and prejudice against every single person who is not on their side," the commentator fumed.

"This is tragic that they say it is the right side of the history when the Iranian regime, the brutal Islamic regime in Iran, slaughtered their own people in order to silence dissent.

"They call it the right side of the history. If this is what it is to be the right side on the right side of the history, I think every single person with a conscious mind would love to be on the wrong side of history at this moment," she slammed.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of demonstrating support for proscribed group Palestine Action, which was banned last July.

The Metropolitan Police said the duo were caught by officers carrying a banner which read "we are all Palestine Action".
