A "dangerous" prisoner has escaped from police custody in Lewisham just one week after last going on the run.
Daniel Boakye, 21, a gang member and drill rapper, escaped from a hospital in Lewisham, south east London.
The HMP Feltham inmate who was initially locked up for a string of armed robberies had already escaped once from West Middlesex University Hospital on Tuesday last week.
Police caught up with the escapee on Wednesday, but again he managed to break free on Sunday and is still at large.
A Metropolitan police spokeswoman told the Sun: “We are searching for a 21-year-old man who absconded from Lewisham Hospital at around 15:05hrs on Sunday, 15 February.
“Daniel Boakye was in police custody at the hospital receiving medical treatment when he fled.
“Officers gave chase but could not detain Boakye before he left the building.
“He is 21 years old, black, of medium height and slim build. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark Nike jacket when he absconded.

Daniel Boakye is due to be deported in a few months

“We are currently reviewing this incident to fully understand the events which unfolded. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is aware.”
Mr Boakye's multiple escapes come just months before he was due to be deported to Ghana.
According to Government sources, his deportation is still being “actively pursued”.
The drill rapper was found at a property in Thamesmead on Wednesday, after his first escape after slipping out of prison staff's care at a west London hospital.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Mr Boakye had originally escaped from West Middlesex University hospital, north west London

Two women, aged 20 and 51, a 15-year-old girl and a man aged 30 were also arrested in relation to Mr Boakye's escape, on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Mr Boakye, from Enfield, north London, was sentenced to six years and five months in July 2023 for various knife robberies across the capital, which he carried out with three others.
The four then-teenagers were imprisoned in 2023 after stealing £115,000 worth of cryptocurrency at knifepoint.
Mr Boakye, Justin Popoola, Nathan Mohalland, and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, carried out the crimes across London over a two-year period.
The armed thieves threatened the victims with knives, forcing them to hand over their possessions and provide passcodes to unlock their mobiles.
With the unlocked devices, the criminals siphoned the cryptocurrency into "hot wallets", taking more than £115,000 in cryptocurrency for themselves.
Police were able to track down the thieves after they used stolen bank information to order takeaways.
It is reported that Mr Boakye has linked to the London gang OFB, Original Farm Boys, originating from the Broadwater Estate in Tottenham, north London.
This second escape comes after a string of mistakenly released prisoners and escapees, notably Epping hotel migrant Hadush Kebatu, who was freed in error last year and HMP Wandsworth runaway, Daniel Khalife, in 2023.
The manhunt for Mr Kebatu, who had been imprisoned for assaulting a 14-year-old girl, ensued for two days.
Following his recapture, he was deported to Ethiopia on October 28, 2025.
Accidentally released prisoners have been going up - 262 prisoners were accidentally released in the 12 months to March 2025, compared with 115 in the previous year.
