A woman has been filmed cutting down yellow memorial ribbons tied to a fence to mark the anniversary of the October 7 attack in Israel.
The woman was caught on camera using a pair of scissors to remove the ribbons in Muswell Hill in north London, as one shocked onlooker called her a "disgusting human being".
When asked for her name, the unidentified woman responded: "You’re not going to do this. I’m not committing a crime.
"If I am, call the police and you let them know that you have an issue with this."

After being labelled "disgusting" for her actions, she said: "I think condoning genocide is disgusting. That’s what this is."
The Metropolitan Police said its officers are reviewing footage to determine whether an offence had been committed.
A force spokesman said: "At approximately 4.25pm on Monday, October 6, officers were made aware of a video circulating online which appears to show a woman removing ribbons from fence poles in Muswell Hill, Haringey.
"Officers have attended the location and are currently reviewing the footage to determine whether any offences, including hate crime or criminal damage, have been committed. Enquiries remain ongoing."

The yellow ribbon is often displayed as a symbol of hope and has become widely associated with the conflict in Gaza.
It is the symbol linked to the Bring Them Home campaign, urging for the safe return of hostages held by terror group Hamas.
Heidi Bachram, who says her husband's relatives were killed and taken hostage on October 7, 2023, described the woman's actions as "repulsive".
She wrote to X: "[Pro-Palestine protester] cut down yellow ribbons in London and justified her repulsive act by saying they 'condone genocide'.

Since October 7, 2023, more than 67,000 Palestinians, including civilians and fighters, have been killed in Gaza, with nearly a third of the dead under the age of 18, according to Gaza health authorities.
Israel says its offensive is aimed against Hamas and that it tries to avoid killing civilians, but that the group hides among the civilian population, an assertion that Hamas denies.
A UN commission of inquiry last month assessed that Israel had committed genocide in Gaza, citing the scale of the killings as one of the acts backing up its finding.
Israel called the finding biased and "scandalous".
At least 1,665 Israelis and foreign nationals were killed as a result of the war between October 7, 2023, and September 29, 2025, according to official Israeli information.
Of these, 1,200 were killed in the October 7 attack.
