Conservative politician Lee Anderson is joining GB News as a programme host and contributor and has vowed to represent Britain's "silent majority".
Lee is MP for the former mining town of Ashfield, a key Red Wall seat, and was previously a coal miner and Labour councillor before defecting to the Conservatives four years ago.
Known for his down-to-earth approach and fearlessness, Lee said he was keen to speak up for constituents outside the London bubble.
The Tory Deputy Chairman said: “GB News is the true voice of the Great British silent majority.”
He added: “I’m joining the people’s channel to ensure their voice is heard.”
Editorial Director Michael Booker said: “Lee has been a breath of fresh air in Westminster since he was elected, doing something that many politicians are scared to do: talking honestly about what they believe.
“Our viewers and listeners appreciate his common-sense language, something that has been missing from politics for a long time. As the next election will be fought in the Red Wall, Lee’s insights into northern voters will be key.”
Lee is the latest in a string of landmark hires at GB News as the channel continues to expand politics with several new programmes.
Britain’s longest serving political editor, Nigel Nelson, also confirmed today he is joining GB News as Senior Political Commentator.
Nigel has spent 36 years in Parliament heading up politics for the Sunday People and Sunday Mirror. He was nominated for Political Journalist of the Year in the 2017 British Press Awards and is now on his ninth prime minister.
He began his career at local papers in Kent, later joining the Daily Mail as a royal reporter and foreign correspondent before moving to the Daily Mirror’s New York Bureau.

Nigel said he was delighted to make the leap from newspapers to television in what promises to be another tumultuous year in British politics.
“I’ve witnessed many turbulent times - from the fall of Margaret Thatcher to the rise of Brexit - but never has politics been more exciting than it is now,” he said.
“As Labour looks likely to win the next election, and I’ve spent my career with a Labour-supporting newspaper, the perspective of anyone from the Left will be critical to any conversation about politics.”
He added: “GB News has proved itself to be the true home of free speech, so while I cannot promise everyone will agree with me on everything, I do promise to tell it as I see it honestly."

Other recent hires at GB News include Head of Politics Christopher Hope, new Sunday presenter Camilla Tominey, and former Cabinet Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg.
The channel announced this week that former First Minister of Northern Ireland, Baroness Arlene Foster, will expand her role as a presenter across the GB News schedule.
