Head of Reclaim Party Laurence Fox has pursued the cause of GB News regular Calvin Robinson against the Church of England by calling for the Bishop of London to resign.
A petition on change.org was started by Mr Fox, calling on the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of England to resign from their roles, in favour of BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) applicants.
The petition "demands" for the next Archbishop of Canterbury to be democratically elected for a group of BAME clergy, in a move deemed to be more inclusive.
The petition follows a public statement issued by Justin Welby who deemed the Church of England to be "institutionally racist" after the Bishop reportedly told a black trainee vicar the Church was "institutionally racist".
In a statement published under the petition, Mr Fox explained that Mr Welby has been calling for "radical and decisive" changes must be me made to "remedy past injustices" since 2020.

The Archbishop of Canterbury announced in a meeting with the Church's ruling body, the General Synod, how he was "ashamed" of its history of racism.
A source close to Mr Fox told the Express Online: "Once Welby et al have resigned, Fox and Reclaim will support democratic elections to be held within the Church to replace them."
Over 4,500 people have signed the petition, since its launch two weeks ago.
Mr Fox invited Rt Hon Welby and Dame Mullally to "save their souls" by resigning from their posts, emphasising how they would demonstrate the ultimate form of moral leadership.
The public are encouraged by Mr Fox to sign the petition if they beleive the "Church of England’s senior leadership needs to become more diverse, and/or that the senior leadership needs to be rescued from such an abhorrent institution (their own)".
GB News regular Calving Robinson ignited the church race debate earlier this year, after reporting how his ordination in the Church of England was blocked due to his "political views".
Bishop of London, the Rt Revd Sarah Mullally, implied that Mr Robinson’s views were immaterial: “I believe we are stronger for the diversity of opinion we see in London and we should remain kind and respectful of one another’s views. While Calvin’s anger at the experience saddens me, I wish him well in his future ministry.”
Jubilee celebrations continue today with proceeding at St Paul's set to begin at 11.30am, with members of the Royal Family including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex set to attend.
The Archbishop of Canterbury tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week and will miss the service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Most Revd Justin Welby was diagnosed with mild pneumonia on Thursday but had continued to work.
