A British tourist has disappeared during a trip to Spain as police launch an extensive search to find him.

Joseph Howard has not been seen since November 20 when he was due to fly to Lanzarote, Spain.


The 28-year-old had a pre-booked flight and was last seen around 8am at his home in Stockbridge Village, Knowsley.

Merseyside Police have requested the help of Spanish forces in a bid to locate Howard.

He is described as 5ft 9” and slim, with green eyes and short brown hair with grey spots on both sides of his head.

Howard was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit top and bottoms and a pair of black trainers.

A Merseyside spokesperson said: "Please share and help us find missing 28-year-old Joseph Howard from Knowsley.

"Joseph has been missing from his home in Stockbridge Village since Monday 20 November where he was last seen at around 8am.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

"He is 6ft, of slim build, with green eyes and short dark brown hair that has grey flecks on both sides.

"Joseph was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit top and bottoms and a pair of black trainers.

"Joseph travelled to Lanzarote on the afternoon of Monday 20th November and extensive enquiries are ongoing to find him in Merseyside and abroad.
