The statement is expected later today with an address to the House of Commons scheduled for this afternoon.
Jeremy Hunt has not ruled out further cancellations of Liz Truss' tax cuts as he prepares for a make-or-break financial statement on Halloween, where he will deliver the full medium-term fiscal plan.
In a statement, the Treasury said the Chancellor was fast-tracking the plans – which will be released in full on October 31 – following conversations with the Prime Minister over the weekend.
It said Mr Hunt had also met with the Governor of the Bank of England and the Head of the Debt Management Office on Sunday night to brief them on the plans.
