A new photograph has emerged of Jay Slater taken just hours before he went missing in Tenerife.
The 19-year-old was snapped at a rave on Sunday evening, after which he left with two friends.
In the image, Slater, who is wearing a light blue top, is speaking to a girl who is wearing a white top.
The teenager flew from Lancashire to the Canary Islands for a music festival when he disappeared after he went to stay with people he met during a night out on Sunday.
During his final call to his friend Lucy Law at 8.00am local time on Monday, the 19-year-old said his phone had only one per cent battery, he was thirsty and he did not know where he was.
His last location shows the Rural de Teno Park - an area popular among hikers. He has not been seen since and the search and rescue operation is now in its sixth day.
Police have been searching the rural mountainous areas along the north west of the island.
The Civil Guard confirmed on Friday that there had been "no developments" in the search.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Slater’s family, including his mother Debbie, flew out to the Spanish island to assist officers. Duncan, 55, has now revealed that a person has come forward to say that they saw Slater walking down a road with two other men on Monday evening.
Speaking to the MailOnline, Duncan said: “He was with two men looking a bit worse for wear, and they were by a church. This guy has come forward and told the police about it and they are looking into it. We don't know if it was Jay for sure, but it's a start.
“They said it was about 6.00pm which is ten hours after he was seen by the lady in the village. But if it was him what was he doing there and who are these two men?
“All I know is that I am going to stay here for as long as it takes, I'm not going home unless it's with Jay. I'm not going anywhere until they find him.”Duncan, and others close to him have been subjected to a series of horrific messages on social media over the past six days."
Since his disappearance, sniffer dogs and mountain rescue experts have been searching for Jay, and an official Facebook group has been set up to provide updates.
However, cruel fraudsters jumped on the opportunity to make some money from Slater’s disappearance, and around seven fake GoFundMe pages were set up in his name.
The family of the apprentice bricklayer begged kind strangers not to donate to the bogus pages - which have since been deleted.
His mother, Debbie Duncan, has revealed that she has received prank phone calls and vile messages from the trolls, with some having claimed that they have kidnapped their son.
Earlier this week, Duncan explained that in one grotesque message she had received on Snapchat, someone told her she would never see her son again.
The sick message read: “Kiss goodbye to your boy, you’re never going to see him again, he owes me a lot of money.”
Her eldest son Zac managed to screenshot the message before it disappeared, and she quickly alerted the police.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has been reported missing in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
