The 32-year-old man charged over the knife attack on an LNER train between Peterborough and Huntingdon has appeared in court.
Anthony Williams, of no fixed abode, appeared in the dock in handcuffs.
He appeared in the dock in a grey tracksuit and was flanked by three custody staff. He was also cuffed to one of the prison officers.
Williams, who has a beard, appeared to lower his head when the charges were read out in court.
He spoke to confirm his name, date of birth and that he was of no fixed abode.
The public gallery was packed in Court 1 at Peterborough Magistrates' Court for the first appearance of Anthony Williams, who was charged with 14 offences this morning.
The court heard about 10 counts of attempted murder at Huntingdon train station and one at Pontoon Dock DLR Station, two counts of possessing a bladed article, and another count of actual bodily harm.
Pan Symeou, for the defendant, appeared via video link before District Judge Ken Sheraton sent the case to Cambridge Crown Court on December 1.
After a hearing lasting seven minutes, bail was refused. Williams was remanded in custody.
