GB News host Martin Daubney has been moved to tears after praising the "dignity" of murdered Daniel Anjorin's father, as he delivered a statement on killer Marcus Arduini Monzo's sentencing.
Dr Ebenezer Anjorin thanked friends, family, their church and even strangers for their support following Daniel's death, and said the family "carry light with us even in this dark time".
Anjorin concluded his statement: "We honour Daniel's memory not in the shadow of this tragedy, but through the love and happiness that he brought to us and all those who knew him."
Daniel Anjorin, 14, was stabbed by Marcus Arduini Monzo with a samurai sword in April last year. In court today, Monzo was sentenced to a minimum of 38 years in prison for seven offences, including Anjorin's murder.

Reacting to the statement by Dr Ebenezer Anjorin, Martin was overcome with emotion as he admitted he always finds such cases "deeply moving".
Martin told his GB News viewers: "Those were the words of his amazing father, Dr Ebenezer Anjorin, who gave a short statement. How do they find the humility to thank the police?
"They thanked their friends, they thanked family, they thanked their church and even complete strangers who gave them comfort, and said 'your words mean more than you'll ever know'."
Reflecting on Dr Anjorin's concluding words of his statement, Martin welled up with tears as he said: "He said 'we want to honour Daniel's memory, not in darkness but in lightness'.

"And with that, they simply turned on their heels and walked away. I always find such dignity so so moving, I really do."
Echoing the thoughts of Martin, GB News reporter Mark White praised Dr Ebenezer Anjorin's "dignity" in the delivery of his statement, having suffered "unimaginable loss".
Mark said: "A very composed Dr Ebenezer Anjorin there and his wife Grace beside him. Not saying anything, but just standing beside her husband to offer that emotional support as they spoke in very dignified terms about the loss.
"This young man had the most incredible future ahead of him, a young man that could play the violin and that could play the piano, that was so academically bright. He was top of his class and apparently just the most incredible young man."

Reflecting on the "profound" impact statement read by Daniel Anjorin's family in court, Mark concluded: "To have had that life and that future snatched away from him in such a violent manner, as Ebenezer said in his victim impact statement, they've been denied the opportunity to see the most incredible young man that Daniel would have become. They will never be able to see him marry or to have children.
"And of course, as absolutely profound as their grief is, you've got to remember the other people caught up in this horrific event that day as well. The five other people who were injured, some of them very severely by Marcus Monzo, who set about them with that samurai sword.
"And the victim impact statements, we heard from them talking about how they will live with this, how they are very concerned.
"One of them, the police officer, talked about how she was afraid to go out alone as she feared being attacked, and wouldn't be able to defend herself."
