Greggs are giving away free sausage rolls to lucky customers for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The official celebrations to mark Her Majesty’s 70 years in reign will begin tomorrow with the Trooping the Colour.

But Greggs have already kicked off their celebrations by offering some customers free sausage rolls.

The British bakery chain have teamed up with online delivery service Just Eat to offer the treats.

Speaking ahead of the Jubilee, Greggs told its fans that "a party without a sausage roll is simply not a party."

People will be able to claim the free treat when shopping on Just Eat, but there is a catch.

You will have to create an account on the account, while customers will have to also spend a minimum of £10 on the site to be eligible.

The promotion relies on participating stores, meaning customers will have to be within a certain radius of a Greggs to claim the deal.

The number of stores taking part in the deal is currently unknown, with sausage rolls only being offered while stocks last.

While sales of bunting, trifle dishes and royal favourite tipple Dubonnet are setting supermarket tills ringing as consumers ready themselves for a long weekend of Jubilee parties.

Shoppers are set to send sales booming from Wednesday ahead of the four-day bank holiday weekend, with Co-op predicting “a bigger sales period than Christmas”.

The grocer expects its wine sales to be 10 percent higher than the festive period and is preparing to sell double the amount of English sparkling wine and 30,000 bottles of Champagne as well, as 75 percent more Victoria Sponge cake than usual.
