A woman who recorded herself driving recklessly has been jailed for more than six years after causing a fatal collision that claimed two lives.
Liberty Mitchell, now 21, was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday following the devastating crash on the B4425 near Aldsworth in Gloucestershire.
The incident occurred on December 2, 2022, when Mitchell had only recently celebrated her 18th birthday.
Crucially, she had obtained her full driving licence less than three weeks before the tragedy unfolded.
Mitchell admitted to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, alongside charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and causing death while uninsured.
She wept openly as Judge Rupert Lowe handed down a sentence of six years and eight months.
The 18-year-old had been working as a self-employed cleaner, travelling between holiday cottages in the area to carry out her duties.
Driving a grey Mini Cooper, Mitchell attempted an overtaking manoeuvre on three vehicles simultaneously while travelling at 96mph in a 60mph zone. Seconds later, she tried to abandon the dangerous move but collided head-on with a taxi.

The impact killed the cab driver, Octavian Codreanu, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, 35-year-old history teacher Moyra Whelan, succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
Ms Whelan had been travelling to a wedding with her friend Nicola Cooper when the four-vehicle pile-up occurred at approximately 12.45pm.
Gloucestershire Police officers who examined Mitchell's social media accounts uncovered disturbing footage that revealed her dangerous driving habits prior to the fatal incident.

Videos posted to Snapchat showed the teenager recording herself behind the wheel, laughing while travelling at speeds of 100mph on country roads.
In one particularly alarming clip, she swerved onto the wrong side of the road directly towards an oncoming vehicle as her passengers screamed at her to stop.
Police stated the footage demonstrated her "lack of care for driving safely" in the days leading up to the collision.
While her defence barrister Simon Stirling argued that Mitchell's behaviour stemmed from inexperience rather than irresponsibility, suggesting she failed to comprehend the risks involved in her manoeuvre.

| PAThose injured in the crash suffered devastating wounds including fractured hips, broken ribs, severe abdominal trauma and bones protruding through skin.
Ms Cooper, who survived the collision, said: "The crash itself was traumatic, the impact felt endless.
"I live with survivor's guilt and the trauma of losing one of my closest friends, Moyra, who was sitting just inches from me. I lie awake at night thinking about the 'what ifs'."
Ms Whelan's younger sister Katy-Louise said: "One aspect that haunts me is that my sister died violently. I'm truly devastated that my beautiful, innocent sister was subjected to that."
Judge Lowe described Mitchell as "a reckless and immature young driver" suffering from "the frankly common teenage delusion that you were invulnerable."
Mitchell must serve half her term before becoming eligible for release and faces an eight-year, four-month driving ban.
