GB News to host two-hour immigration special TONIGHT - watch Nigel Farage live from 7pm

Immigration has become the single biggest issue in the minds of British voters in recent years, with YouGov saying 58 per cent of Britons believe it is now the most important.

The People's Channel, which has cemented its position as Britain's number one news channel for a second consecutive month, will address the issue head-on.

The migrant crisis came at a huge political cost for ex-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, with the Tories' inability to stop the boats contributing to the Conservative Party's worst electoral defeat in more than a century.

Meanwhile, Sir Keir Starmer's pledge to "smash the gangs" has failed to stop thousands crossing under his watch.

GB News revealed earlier this year that 40 per cent more migrants crossed the Channel during Sir Keir's first year in power compared to Mr Sunak's final 365 days in No10.

And the issue is also proving fatal, with three migrants tragically dying after attempting to cross the 21-mile strait.

Around 180,000 migrants have crossed the Channel since the crisis started in 2018, roughly equating to the total population of Sunderland.

However, it is not just in the number of arrivals that the debate has taken hold.

Protests have erupted across the UK as Britons remain divided on whether to house asylum seekers in taxpayer-funded hotel accommodation.

Some protesters fear that asylum seekers could pose a safety risk to women and girls, while counter-protesters chant: "Refugees are welcome here."

Nigel, who first addressed the issue in 2021, will tonight put all of the issues on the table.

A star-studded panel of voices from across the political spectrum will debate the matter further.
