Some of the most popular GB News videos on YouTube have racked up millions of views

GB News’ YouTube channel is now home to two million subscribers - in yet another landmark moment for the champions of free speech.

The People’s Channel smashed through the 2,000,000 mark at the weekend - cementing its position as one of the fastest ever-growing news channels on the platform.

GB News now streams its broadcasts live on YouTube, which is also home to GBN2.

The hugely popular YouTube channel has had more than 2.4 billion views and features full programmes, exclusive cutting-edge documentaries from GB News Originals, long-form interviews, TV catch-up, highlights, podcasts and more.

Some of the most popular videos have racked up millions of views, with an interview with former Trump aide Steve Bannon taking the top slot with 6.7 million plays.

At number two is an interview with the US historian Victor Davis Hanson which took place just before President Trump’s inauguration.

The most watched videos also feature an investigation by Patrick Christys into a Syrian child rape gang that was operating in Newcastle and a feature on the activities of the United Nations, presented by Bev Turner, host of The Late Show Live.

Documentaries by US correspondent Steve Edgington and GB News’ award-winning presenter Charlie Peters - on grooming gangs - have also attracted millions of views.

GB News Chief Content Officer Geoff Marsh said: “Hitting the two million mark on YouTube is a landmark moment, and it is an endorsement that our fearless journalism is being recognised across the world.

“The recent launches of GB News Originals and GBN2 show we are just getting started. Every new YouTube subscriber can be assured we will continue to deliver the very best clips and videos which reflect the bold and fearless journalism which is seeing GB News succeed each and every day.”

GB News’ YouTube success comes just three weeks after it celebrated another milestone in its huge digital growth by securing one million followers on Instagram.

Mr Marsh added: "Our growth on YouTube as well as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Truth Social and Threads shows people love the quality and fearlessness of our journalism.

"These huge numbers are a massive credit to the team and everybody who works so hard every day to deliver the stories Britain is talking about."
