GB News is today announcing a major expansion of its evening prime-time schedule, reaffirming its commitment to live news and opinion coverage.
Starting tonight (June 9), the People's Channel will launch Patrick Christys Tonight Late Edition, a new programme that will air from 11pm to midnight, Monday to Friday, hosted by Patrick Christys.
The show will feature a rotating panel of guests to review the next day’s newspapers, dissect the day's biggest stories, and provide an in-depth analysis of breaking news across the UK, and around the world.
On weekends, Ben Leo Tonight: Late Edition will occupy the same time slot, broadcasting 11pm to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays, and continuing the network’s seven-day commitment to the very best news coverage.
This show will also focus on breaking and developing stories while also looking ahead to the next day’s headlines.
“These changes mark a significant expansion and extension of our news and opinion programming,” said Ben Briscoe, Head of Programming at GB News.
“These new shows will give us greater flexibility and allow us to respond more quickly to breaking stories both at home and abroad.”
As part of the schedule changes, the Headliners team will also contribute to the new 11pm shows, while also continuing to appear across other parts of the GB News schedule including our global GB News Originals programming.
“The Headliners remain a vital part of the GB News family,” Briscoe added.
“In an era of fast-paced, 24/7 news, our viewers expect timely updates and sharp and expert analysis from morning until midnight. These additions to our programming line-up will help us meet that expectation every single day."
“With rival channels scaling back on coverage we are turbocharging ours, and further strengthening GB News’ position as the fearless champion of Britain, its voices, and its values."
