The French President has arrived in the UK for his first-ever state visit to Britain

GB News host Andrew Pierce has launched a scathing attack on French Police for taking action against migrant boats, warning Britons, "don't fall for it!"

Shortly before President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the UK, French Police began properly intervening in migrant crossings, slashing dinghies and blocking boats from leaving.

Macron arrived in the UK on Tuesday for his first-ever state visit, where he was greeted by Prince William and Princess Catherine at RAF Northolt.

Macron and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer are set to hold discussions on the migrant crisis in the Channel, and a potential "one-in, one-out" migrant deal between France and the UK.

Delivering his verdict on Macron's arrival, Britain's Newsroom host Andrew Pierce told GB News: "We've seen French policemen puncturing dinghies, funny they did this just before the state visit.

"It's all stage-managed, don't fall for it. Please don't fall for it. They could have been doing that for months, but they've chosen not to."

Andrew fumed: "This is happening just before the state visit to make it look like they are taking it seriously, they're not.

"They don't care, they want the migrants off French soil and they want them in Britain."

Highlighting Macron's lack of popularity in Britain regarding the migrant crisis, co-host Bev Turner stated: "Today is President Macron's state visit, at taxpayers' expense.

"It's his first state visit here, because the King was there last year, and the Prime Minister is set to push Macron for a last-minute migrant returns deal."

She fumed: "I just can't believe that the pavements are going to be hundreds deep with Brits out to applaud Emmanuel Macron and catch a glimpse of him. He's never been less popular in this country!"

Andrew then jibed: "I think Macron's ridiculous, but they might be deep with migrants praising Macron and thanking him for letting them come here."

Explaining one of the key factors for Macron's state visit, Bev explained the UK's proposed "one-in, one-out" migrant deal with France.

Bev said: "This proposed one in, one out agreement would see Britain return the small boat migrants to France in exchange for accepting asylum seekers with British family ties.

"Now we've got these record high channel crossings, over 21,000 alone this year, Government sources are saying that the deal is 'complicated' and 'still in the balance'."

Andrew cast doubt over the deal, interjecting: "It's not going to happen. We've given £771million to the French, who I think continue to wave the migrants across the Channel, but they're like an Uber service for illegal migrants."
