An off-duty firefighter onboard an easyJet flight acted quick to rescue a fellow passenger after she began choking during a flight to Malta.
Ellis Johnson performed the heroic act while flying from Liverpool on Saturday morning.
He was heading to Malta to attend a music festival, however his journey took a dramatic journey when he stepped in to help a passenger in need of help.
The 24-year-old heard distressing sounds coming from behind him and discovered a woman was choking.

A member of easyJet staff began to give the woman the Heimlich manoeuvre, a common method of first-aid used for choking.
It involves a person wrapping their arms around the torso of a choking victim and pulling inwards in hopes of relieving the symptoms.
However, Mr Johnson realised the situation was worsening when the woman "wasn't exhaling at all".
“I didn’t want to be the guy to stand up and say, 'I’m first aid trained,' but I thought I had to," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"I took my seatbelt off, went over and did the Heimlich and it came out first time, so it was happy days.
“She was all right and as soon as it came out, she sat down, had a drink of water, got a bit of colour back in her face and she was good to go."
Mr Johnson, from Liverpool, has worked as a firefighter for the past three years but said this was the only occasion so far that he has had to give first aid while off duty.
This is however not the first time he has stepped up in an emergency situation.

Prior to joining the fire service at age 16, he stayed and offered his support to a victim of a hit and run, according to mum Della.
The proud mum couldn't contain her joy when she heard about her son's actions.
"I'm super proud," she told the Liverpool Echo.
"He's really low-key, Ellis. He told me what had happened and I was like, 'no way!' I was absolutely buzzing."
