Donald Trump has touched down in Scotland as the US President prepares for his four-day visit.
Supporters of the 47th President gathered outside Prestwick Airport to welcome Trump to his mother's homeland.
Trump told reporters that he will visit his golf resort in Turnberry on Scotland's west coast, where he will meet Sir Keir Starmer on Monday.
The two leaders will then head to his golf property 200 miles away near Aberdeen in the east.
Upon touching down in Aberdeen, Trump had glowing words for Sir Keir Starmer, telling GB News's Bev Turner: "I like your PM, he's slightly more liberal than I am, but I like him."
Before he departed the United States, Trump also spoke positively about Scottish First Minister John Swinney, who he is due to meet for the first time.
Swinney, the leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP) had spoken out against Trump and publicly backed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the 2024 US presidential election.
However, Trump said: "We have a lot of things in Scotland. I have a lot of love - my mother was born in Scotland. The Scottish leader [Swinney] is a good man, so I look forward to meeting him."s.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also said that she will travel to Scotland to meet the President on Sunday to discuss trade relations between the EU and US.
Trump said there was a 50-50 chance or perhaps less that the United States would reach a trade agreement with the European Union, stressing that Brussels wanted to "make a deal very badly".
He told reporters: "We're working very diligently with Europe, the EU.
"I would say that we have a 50-50 chance, maybe less than that, but a 50-50 chance of making a deal with the EU."

When asked about Emmanuel Macron's decision to recognise the state of Palestine, Trump said: "That's what he does, that's fine. It's up to him. It's not up to me."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump appeared to abandon Gaza ceasefire negotiations with Hamas, both saying it had become clear that the terror group did not want a deal.
Trump said he believed Hamas leaders would now be "hunted down", telling reporters: "Hamas really didn't want to make a deal. I think they want to die.
"It's very bad. And it got to be to a point where you're going to have to finish the job."

Trump was also asked about Ghislaine Maxwell, with the President responding: "I really have no... really nothing to say about it.
"She is being talked to by a very smart man, by a very good man, Todd Blanch. And, I don't know anything about the conversation. I haven't really been following it.
"A lot of people are asking me about a pardon. Obviously, this is no time to be talking about pardons.
"This is just not a time to be talking about pardons. Todd will come back with whatever he's got."
