Multiple people have been struck by a car in Derby city centre.
One man is under arrest after the incident at 9.30pm today.
It involved a black Suzuki swift and a number of people were seriously injured, Derbyshire Constabulary has said.
Ambulance crews rendered aid to those injured on the scene, before multiple people were hospitalised.

A man in his 30s is currently in police custody after his arrest, Derbyshire Constabulary has said.
Police officers stopped the car involved in the incident shortly after the incident happened.
One eyewitness told The Mirror described the incident as "absolute carnage".
They added that it was "utterly horrific" to see injured people "covered in blood" lying on the pavement and road.

Derbyshire police said it is keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a black Suzuki Swift being driven in Derby before the incident.
The roads around the area are "completely closed" and the police has urged people to avoid the area completely.
Friar Gate is completely closed from the junction with Curzon Street/Cheapside up to Ford Street, Derbyshire police said.

The Labour MP for Derby North, Catherine Atkinson, has reacted to the incident in a statement on social media.
She said: "I am deeply shocked by reports that people have been injured in a serious incident in Derby city centre this evening.
"My thoughts are with those injured and I’m grateful to our emergency services."
She also urged people to follow police advice to avoid the area and for those with information to contact Derbyshire Constabulary as soon as possible.

They said: "Everyone was talking about it and panicking, we know people who were in other bars and thought it might have been them."
They added people were "shook up" as a result of the car ramming, and that people had been crying in response to the news.
Derbyshire Constabulary told GB News no further information was yet available.
