Caitlyn Jenner has defended transgender golfer Hailey Davidson as she attempts to qualify for the ladies PGA tour.
Davidson, who became the first trans golfer to win a professional tournament last year, is trying to earn a Ladies Professional Gold Association (LPGA) tour card.
If successful, Davidson will become the first trans golfer to earn the card.
The trans golfer began hormone therapy in 2015 and has undergone gender reassignment surgery.

Before the therapy, the golfer competed as a male.
The LPGA has allowed trans athletes since 2010, as long as they have undergone gender reassignment surgery.
But while some, including Scottish tennis coach Judy Murray, have slammed Davidson competing in women’s events, Caitlyn Jenner believes golf is a “totally different game.”
Jenner said: “I've been consistent in how I've approached transgender athletes and it depends on the sport. Every sport is different.
“Obviously, we saw with (trans swimmer) Lia Thomas, she had gone through male puberty, bigger cardiovascular system, it just wasn’t fair. And fortunately we won that, we won that one.
“Golf is a totally different game. It is a game of touch and feel. It is about your ability around the green, to get the ball out the bunker.

“The girls on the LPGA tour - I've played in some LPGA tour events and these girls are so good it's a joke.
“I was hitting next to Lexi Thompson on one of the pro-am events, she was bombing 30 yards past what I could hit it. Danielle Kang, she just kills me.
“She’s making the Epson tour, a qualifying tour to get into the LPGA. And so she’s playing by the rules.
“So honestly, for me, the jury is still out on this one. Let’s just let it play out,” Jenner told Fox News.
Her comments come just weeks after Jenner hit out at trans swimmer Lia Thomas, who sparked outrage earlier this year after becoming the first transgender woman to win an NCAA swimming title in the US.
Jenner said on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight: “It seems, listening to her talk, it’s all about her, it’s not about what’s fair in sport.
“She has a tremendous advantage over the girls, she’s taller, bigger hands, cardiovascular system is bigger, went through male puberty.
“She just has a tremendous advantage and It’s not fair.
“And to be honest with you, this is bad publicity for the trans community it really is.
“It makes the trans community selfish, self-absorbed."
