Her partner made the devastating discovery, finding her unresponsive in the water at a pool near the village of Keri in Zante.
Paramedics were called to the scene and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was carried out.
Registering no pulse, she was taken to a nearby hospital after 4.30pm where she was pronounced dead.
The British couple had reportedly been drinking prior to the tragic incident, however this is yet to be confirmed.

The news comes a month after a British holidaymaker was injured in an accident on the Greek island of Rhodes.
Ethan Jones reportedly suffered a traumatic brain injury, which meant he needed to be placed in the induced coma.
His girlfriend Olivia Allsopp shared the distressing details in a post shared on GoFundMe.
The fundraiser raised £33,130 in order to bring Ethan home for treatment.
In an update two weeks ago she said: "Ethan is still in ICU but it is slowly looking more positive for him. It’s going to be a long and difficult road for him but we keep praying for a full and healthy recovery."
