The woman told the protester 'shame on you'

A British woman who confronted a pro-Palestinian supporter, dressed as a holocaust victim, has claimed the serial pest was "anti-Semitic" and the outfit was "deeply offensive" with the Met Police confirming it was investigating the matter.

Bella Wallersteiner, a British Jew, posted the video to X, saying she “confronted a Palestine Action activist” who was wearing the striped clothing outside Parliament on Wednesday.

She is heard saying “that’s really offensive” before the woman, holding a sign saying, “no concentration camps in Gaza”, replied “is it?”.

“Yeah, I have ancestors who were killed in concentration camps, and that is deeply offensive (for you to be) wearing that outfit,” Wallersteiner said.

“It’s completely ahistorical, it’s anti-Semitic. You should not be allowed to wear that.”

The pro-Palestine supporter responded, saying: “Well I am here”.

Wallersteiner reiterated her relatives had been killed in the holocaust, which the woman said she understood and that she was “sorry”.

“That is incredibly offensive, you should not be wearing that outfit,” Wallersteiner continued.

“Shame on you.”

The video was then cut short before the activist could finish saying “there is a...”.

The video on X has received almost 2,000 likes and has been retweeted 317 times, with one user urging Wallersteiner to report the matter to the Metropolitan Police.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "We are aware of this individual.

"She was previously interviewed under caution following a very similar incident in the past two weeks," the spokesman added.

"Today's incident is now also under investigation."

Met Police confirmed that a file had "already been passed" to the Crown Prosecution Service for consideration on the previous incident.

"We await their response," the spokesman said.

Another commended Wallersteiner, saying “well done for standing up to them” and another added it was a “shameful act”.

One user went as far as to say the woman “should be arrested”.

However, there were some who disagreed with Wallersteiner.

One woman said: “So condemn it!”

“No concentration camps in Gaza,” the woman continued.

Another said: “Your tragedy is preserved in museums ... while ours is broadcast live (of) the burning bodies of our children.”
