An Iranian man has been remanded in custody after being charged with two counts of rape.
Abdulla Ahmadi, a 25-year-old Iranian national who lives in Crewe, communicated through a translator.
He was remanded in custody by Magistrates today after a woman was attacked on Brighton beach in the early hours of October 4.
Sussex Police have arrested and charged three men, who are each charged with two counts of rape.
The other two men charged in this case are both Egyptian nationals from Horsham, named by police as Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, and Ibrahim Alshafe, 25.
Sussex police say a 33-year-old woman is being supported by specialist officers.
Magistrates have remanded the Iranian until November 13, where he will appear at Lewes Crown Court.
