Bridgend: 'Explosions heard' as huge fire rips through industrial estate

A massive fire has broken out at an industrial estate in Bridgend, South Wales.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing explosions coming from Bridgend Industrial Estate in Coychurch.
Photos and videos shared on social media showed flames and thick smoke billowing from one of the buildings on the estate.
Social media posts suggest locals became aware of the blaze at around 8.45pm.

Scott Davies, a local resident, claimed people all over Bridgend could see the blaze.
He told GB News: "You can see the fire from all around the town.
"I drove past earlier and it didn't look much but then by the time I got home the flames and smoke were huge, plus you could smell the toxic fumes.
"It's apparently at an old factory, but looks to cover a big area and it's unknown how businesses have been affected."
South Wales Fire & Rescue Service confirmed 10 appliances are in attendance to deal with the large industrial fire.
A spokesperson revealed local firefighters received a call at 8.22pm.
Aerial platforms and specialist officers are also in attendance.

The incident is reportedly ongoing but no further details are available at this time.
In an update, South Wales Fire & Rescue said: "Crews are in attendance at a building fire on Bridgend Industrial Estate, Bridgend.
"We are advising persons living in the area to keep doors and windows closed.
"We are advising people to stay away from the area at this time."
Bridgend Industrial Estate is located just off the A473 in Coychurch.
It is understood the fire is heading towards Toby Carvery.
Residents have advised fellow neighbours to steer clear of the industrial estate.

Concerns were echoed by Bridgend Mayor Freya Sykes.
She said: "There is a huge fire in Bridgend industrial estate right now.
"Please avoid the area and let South Wales Fire & Rescue do their job.
"I sincerely hope no one has been hurt in anyway, but there was an explosion."
An onlooker snapped a photo of the incident from as far as 15 miles away.
It is not currently known which building the fire is coming from.
