Bhim Kohli’s death and the subsequent sentencing of two youths left GB News’s Martin Daubney in tears.
A 15-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl have been sentenced for the 80-year-old’s manslaughter.
He was attacked while walking his dog in Franklin Park in Leicestershire in September.
The boy was sentenced to seven years in custody while the girl was not sentenced to custody, but was given a three-year rehabilitation order and six-month curfew.

Martin said the shocking case is reflective of the state of Britain.
“A much-loved man. Two defendants, who obviously can’t be named as they’re minors”, he said.
“This got me really choked. The girl was 12 at the time and she filmed an 80-year-old man getting killed.
“What 12-year-old human would film a man being killed in broad daylight? The most controversial point of the ruling was her being spared a custodial sentence.

“She was instead given a youth rehabilitation order for three years. I feel a bit breathless after that.
“This is a crime that has shocked the nation. A childhood gone awry and a man has lost his life.”

Martin then read out a statement from Kohli’s daughter, who was left disgusted by what she learned about her father's fate.
“She said ‘we feel nothing but anger and disgust towards the girl and the boy’, that’s understandable”, he said.
“Also, some details that came out. ‘Mr Kohli was slapped with a slider shoe’.”
Visibly shocked and taken aback emotionally by the detail, Martin exclaimed “oh God”, as he fought back tears.
“He was on the ground and he took his shoe off and started beating him while he was on the ground. He then racially abused him”, he said.

The pensioner died in hospital the day after being assaulted by the balaclava-clad boy, who was 14 at the time, whilst the girl, then aged 12, filmed the incident.
The court heard that Kohli was racially abused before being violently attacked whilst walking his dog Rocky near his home in Bramble Way.
The girl laughed and encouraged the violence whilst recording video clips on her mobile phone, including footage of Kohli lying motionless on the ground.
The 80-year-old suffered a broken neck, spinal cord damage and fractured ribs. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day.
Kohli's daughter Susan found her father lying severely injured after being alerted to a commotion in the park. She said after the verdicts: "My dad was brutally and cruelly taken away from us when walking our dog Rocky in the park close to our home."
She described him as "a devoted life partner to my mum for 55 years and was a loving dad, grandad, brother and uncle."
The boy wrote a letter two months after the attack in which he stated: "I accept I did it and I am doing time." He also claimed to be suffering flashbacks and said: "I feel like my case is evil."
Police arrested the boy after finding him hiding in a bush near his home, whilst the girl was arrested at her school where officers discovered video clips of the attack on her phone.
