'Amazon delivery driver' found dead in parking area of closed UK theme park

An investigation has been launched

A suspected Amazon delivery driver has been found dead in the car park of one of the UK's biggest theme parks.

The man, believed to be in his 20's, was found dead in the car park at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey.


The man, who has not yet been named, was found dead inside a car.

Thorpe Park is currently closed for the Winter and is set to reopen for guests on March 24.

An investigation has been launched by Surrey police into the discovery.

However, a spokesperson from the force said they are not considering the circumstances around the death to be suspicious.

A spokesperson for Amazon UK told SurreyLive: "Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic incident. We’re working with our delivery service provider and the police as they investigate."

A spokesperson from Surrey Police said: "An investigation into the circumstances of the death is underway, but it is not believed to be suspicious."

Last year, Amazon warehouse worker Upale Kaloshi, 21, of Deptford was found dead by a private investigator on a beach near Dover.

His devastated sister Lukondo Kaloshi paid tribute to him, saying: "He is intelligent, so hard-working, so likeable. If you’ve ever met him, I promise you’d never forget him."

A Kent Police spokesperson said: "On Wednesday June 7 2023, the body of a man was discovered near Dover.

Officers attended and sadly the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of a 21-year-old man from south-east London, who was reported missing on Sunday May 21, have been informed.
