A man was hit with an estimated monthly gas bill from EDF of over £12,344 for a two bedroom house.
The EDF bill calculated that Mr Aaron Fawbert would spend a total of £37,234 from now until a bill in April next year.
This massive bill was split into three, with £202 deducted for payments already made, which then led to the monthly sum of over £12,000.

EDF have told the Telegraph & Argus that they will look into Mr Fawbert’s bill as a matter of urgency.
The bill also includes the following quote: "We want to make sure you're paying the right amount for your energy so that you don't need to make any extra payments when your billing plan ends.
Mr Fawbert said: "I just couldn't believe it when I read it. I was blown away.
"£12,000 a month? If I could afford that, that would be nice.
"I can't really take that bill seriously. I live in a two-bedroom house in Denholme.
"I have been an EDF customer since we moved into the house in June this year.
"I got charged £202 for a gas bill and now I have received an estimate for £12,000.
"I have complained to the EDF CEO about the charges before, as nothing has been done. I emailed them wanting it to be sorted.
"It will be coals for Christmas for us.
