Savers are warned that if they do not act soon, they could miss out on securing the most competitive rates.
Experts have said it is essential for savers to act quickly to grab a lucrative deal.
As may be expected, the Bank of England base rate cut has resulted in a few rate cuts across the market. Those looking for extra cash are reminded that "loyalty does not pay", so it is time to look around for the best deals.
Analysts at Moneyfactscompare have compiled a list of the best savings accounts available in the UK for the week beginning May 19, 2025.
Rachel Springall, Finance Expert at Moneyfactscompare.co.uk said: "Savers hoping to lock into a fixed rate bond for a guaranteed return may be disappointed to see the top fixed rates have taken a notable hit over the past week. The rate cuts to fixed bonds are a stark reminder on how essential it is for savers to act quickly to grab a lucrative deal.
"Several challenger banks made rate cuts to some of the most lucrative fixed bond rates over the past week and while rates have been on the downward trend, a couple of providers have increased fixed cash ISA rates over the past week.

"Picking the right savings account does come down to someone’s individual circumstances, and aside from chasing the top rates, its important to ensure they stay within their Personal Savings Allowance (PSA) and take advantage of their ISA allowance to protect their hard-earned cash from tax.
"Loyalty does not pay, so in the weeks ahead it is vital that savers proactively review and switch their accounts to ensure they are getting a competitive return.”
