Wetherspoons names pubs closing by end of 2024 - full list
PA
Wetherspoons has revealed the name of its pubs that have been earmarked for potential closure in a blow to the economy of many communities across the country.
The pub chain has yet to find buyers for select sites across the UK, including outlets in London, Cardiff and Swindon.
Last year, Wetherspoons shut down 41 of its pubs as it attempted to balance the books following the pandemic's economic fallout.
By the end of 2024, more than a dozen of the company's sites are expected to shut down.
This is either due to the pub being up for sale or currently being "under offer", which means a buyer is lined up to purchase the site.
So far, a dozen of the chain's pubs have closed or been sold in 2024

In the last decade, the pub chain has reduced its portfolio from 950 to 801 sites.
However, not all of the pubs appear to have been listed by estate agents Savills and CBRE, who are charged with overseeing the sales.
In the company's latest trading update, Wetherspoons' boss Sir Tim Martin said: "The gradual recovery in sales and profits, following the pandemic, has continued in the current financial year.
"Total sales are, again, at record levels, with fewer pubs."
