More than four million Nationwide customers are set to receive a £100 payment within weeks.
The building society will begin paying its annual Fairer Share bonus from June, with eligible members sharing in the firm's profits.
Nationwide Building Society will distribute £100 to more than four million qualifying members between June 10 and June 30, 2026, as part of its Fairer Share scheme.
The payment marks the fourth consecutive year that Nationwide has shared profits with its members. Since the scheme launched in 2023, the mutual has paid out more than £1.5billion.
Unlike shareholder-owned banks, Nationwide is a mutual organisation, meaning it is owned by its members and can return a portion of its profits directly to them.
Who is eligible for the £100 Nationwide payment?
To qualify, members must have held an eligible Nationwide current account that was open on March 31, 2026.
They must also have met at least one additional requirement by that date.
One option is to have held at least £100 in personal savings accounts or cash ISAs with Nationwide on any day during March 2026.

The £100 payment will only be paid into an active Nationwide current account.
Who will not receive the payment?
Current account holders with Clydesdale Bank, including customers with Virgin Money current accounts, are not eligible for this year's Fairer Share payment.
However, Virgin Money customers who have joined Nationwide through the recent transfer process could become eligible in future years.

The building society has said it intends to continue the annual payment, although future distributions will depend on financial performance.
The payment amount and eligibility criteria could also change in future years.
Other Nationwide member benefits
Nationwide currently offers a number of products exclusively for members.

The FlexDirect current account offers 5.00 per cent AER on balances of up to £1,500 during the first 12 months.
For younger savers aged 11 to 17, the FlexOne Saver and Regular Saver accounts also pay 5.00 per cent AER.
Customers looking to switch their main banking relationship to Nationwide can currently receive a £175 bonus when moving to a FlexPlus, FlexDirect or FlexAccount, subject to terms and conditions.
