Nationwide Building Society handed out a free £100 cash bonus to four million of its members this summer, but have you missed out on this support despite being eligible?
This is the third consecutive year that the financial institution has paid customers a lump sum in recognition of their commitment to the Nationwide family.
The majority of payments were made June 18, however the lender completed its delivery of the cash bonus initiative last week.
This £100 sum is paid through Nationwide Building Society's Fairer Share Payment, which sees the mutual share some of its profits with customers.
Nationwide Building Society is known for handing out free cash bonuses
NATIONWIDE BUILDING SOCIETYAccording to Nationwide, it "would like" to offer members the bonus annually, however future Fairer Share Payments will be dependent on financial performance.
It should be noted that the Fairer Share Payment initiative is different to the building society's £50 Thank You bonus.
The latter was paid earlier this year, following Nationwide Building Society's takeover of Virgin Money.
As such, the financial institution has paid out more than £1billion to eligible customers this year. More than £400million has been delivered to members as a Fairer Share Payment with £615million being handed out as a Thank You bonus.

GETTYHow to check if you have been paid Nationwide Building Society's free £100 bonus
Any cash from the mutual should have appeared in the qualifying customer's current account under the name "Nationwide Fairer Share Payment".
The building society has confirmed that if members held more than one current account with Nationwide, it may pay the lump sump into any of them.
However, the lender's customers need to have an open Nationwide current account operating when the payment was due to be delivered.
If someone did not receive the free bonus, it is likely they did not qualify for the initiative.
How to inquire about Nationwide Building Society's free £100 bonus if you think you are eligible
According to the lender, any customers who believe they were incorrectly excluded from the Fairer Share payment should reach out as soon as possible.
The mutual explained: “If a customer thinks they were eligible and missed out they can check their eligibility and/or find out more info on how to contact us on our webpage Nationwide Fairer Share."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Customers could be in line for a cash bonus if they continue to be Nationwide customers
GETTYMembers of Nationwide are able to contact the building society by calling 0800 30 20 11 (Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm; Sundays 9am to 5pm) or visit their nearest branch to talk to someone in person.
Rachel Springall, finance expert at Moneyfactscompare.co.uk, said: "The reward payment from Nationwide is designed for the more active members, as they need to meet specific requirements to be given the bonus.
"However, this will of course perplex customers who have been loyal for many years and may not have realised that they had to meet certain eligibility criteria.
"That said, it is still a great initiative by Nationwide and comes back to the mutual ethos of rewarding their members."
