Students have just days left to claim Nationwide’s popular banking offer

One of Nationwide’s most popular banking offers is ending soon, with a final deadline set for October 29, 2025.

Customers who act before the cut-off can still take advantage of the full range of rewards before the deal closes.

Nationwide customers can claim up to £260 in cash and Just Eat vouchers. The offer includes £100 cashback, £120 in takeaway vouchers and extra rewards for referring friends, but anyone who misses the deadline will lose out on the full package.

The offer has proved hugely popular this year, with more sign-ups than last year as students rush to secure the full package of cash rewards and everyday banking perks.

Anyone wanting the full benefits must apply within the next week.

The account has become a top pick for first-year students, offering a bit of extra financial breathing room during university life.

Successful applicants get £100 paid straight into their account within two weeks of meeting the deposit rules.

They’ll also receive £10 in food delivery vouchers every month for a year - worth £120 in total - with access to the voucher portal provided within two weeks of qualifying.

Students can also take advantage of an interest-free overdraft throughout their studies, starting at £1,000 in the first year, increasing to £2,000 in the second, and up to £3,000 from the third year onwards.

To qualify for the complete package, students must establish their FlexStudent account before the October 29, deadline and credit it with at least £500 by December 12, 2025.

The deposit requirement can be met through multiple transactions rather than a single payment, with many students using their initial loan instalment.

Additional rewards become available through the referral scheme. Students who successfully introduce friends to the account can earn £40 in extra Just Eat vouchers - £20 for each of two referrals.

New customers who join through a referral also benefit, receiving £20 in vouchers themselves, potentially increasing the total package value to £280.

The building society has experienced strong demand for the FlexStudent account, with Fred Powell, Head of Product at Nationwide Building Society, stating: "Last year students loved our FlexStudent offer, so much so that we attracted more than a quarter of the student current account market."

Mr Powell added: "Given its popularity, we've brought it back for a second year and made it bigger, better, and even more rewarding.

"That's why we're delighted to see that even more students have chosen Nationwide as their Student banking provider this year."

The launch featured promotional events at universities in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow, where television personality Olivia Attwood and social media influencer Joe Baggs served complimentary breakfasts alongside financial guidance at pop-up 'NationFried' cafés.
